Defined marketing and communications competencies are merely words on a page if there isn’t a way to apply them to specific people and teams. That’s why North Star works with clients to deploy tools that let managers and employees assess an employee’s proficiency with the competencies that the client values.

Our assessment tool highlights gaps in perception of skill mastery between an employee and his/her manager. The tool also shows gaps between current skills an employee has versus what’s needed for current and future roles. North Star competency assessment reports help facilitate meaningful discussions about where to invest time and energy in developing new or improved skills sets for each employee.
